In My Opinion There Is No Other Salvation For Civilization And Even For The Human Race Than The Creation Of A World Government With Security On The Basis Of Law. As Long As There Are Sovereign States With Their Separate Armaments And Armament Secrets, New World Wars Cannot Be Avoided.

Hitler Appeared, A Man With Limited Intellectual Abilities And Unfit For Any Useful Work, Bursting With Envy And Bitterness Against All Whom Circumstance And Nature Had Favored Over Him....in His Desperate Ambition For Power He Discovered That His Speeches, Confused And Pervaded With Hate As They Were, Received Wild Acclaim By Those Whose Situation And Orientation Resembled His Own. He Picked Up This Human Flotsam On The Streets And In The Taverns And Organized Them Around Himself. This Is The Way He Launched His Political Career.

All Our Thoughts And Concepts Are Called Up By Sense-experiences And Have A Meaning Only In Reference To These Sense-experiences. On The Other Hand, However, They Are Products Of The Spontaneous Activity Of Our Minds; They Are Thus In No Wise Logical Consequences Of The Contents Of These Sense-experiences. If, Therefore, We Wish To Grasp The Essence Of A Complex Of Abstract Notions We Must For The One Part Investigate The Mutual Relationships Between The Concepts And The Assertions Made About Them; For The Other, We Must Investigate How They Are Related To The Experiences.

I Do Not Share The Crusading Spirit Of The Professional Atheist Whose Fervor Is Mostly Due To A Painful Act Of Liberation From The Fetters Of Religious Indoctrination Received In Youth. I Prefer An Attitude Of Humility Corresponding To The Weakness Of Our Intellectual Understanding Of Nature And Of Our Own Being.
