I Tried To Avoid Making Plays Or Films That Weren't Telling A Story That I Felt Was Important. I Discovered In The Process That It Makes You More Empathic Because You Have To Enter Someone Else's Reality And Learn To See Through Many Other People's Eyes.

I Knew That My Newfound Activism And Feminism Was Going To Improve My Acting, Because I Was Seeing Things Not Just In Very Narrow, Individual, Kind Of Freudian Terms, But Seeing Them In A Much Broader, Societal Way That Was Going To Deepen And Enrich My Talent.

The Bond Between A Parent And Child Is The Primary Bond, The Foundation For The Rest Of The Child's Life. The Presence Or Absence Of This Bond Determines Much About The Child's Resiliency And What Kind Of Adult They Will Grow Up To Be.

Trying To Understand The Fear I Had Of Truly Opening My Heart - First, You Have To Be Whole To Do That. The Fears, The Voices In My Mind Saying, "oh, You Don't Want To Do That, You Might Get Hurt, They Might Abandon You - "those Are Ghost Voices From My Mom And Dad.
